Welcome to Mossbourne Sixth Form Thurrock

At Mossbourne Sixth Form Thurrock (MST) we are committed to achieving the very best educational and social outcomes for every one of our students. We do this by putting learning, challenge and care, at the centre of our work.

We offer a wide range of A-Level choices for young people and are committed to refining the choices available, to provide them with the opportunity to continue their education and thrive within a Sixth Form environment. 

MST, formally Stanford and Corringham Sixth Form Centre, was originally established as a partnership between local schools, to cater for young people in the surrounding area, with our first intake of students beginning their courses in September 2009. Through this collaboration, we were able to provide students with a wide choice of subjects, independent study opportunities, extensive post-18 pathways support and an emerging programme of enrichment activities. The Ortu Federation continued with this work, and now under the Mossbourne Federation, Mossbourne Sixth Form Thurrock remains committed to providing a structured environment, rooted in excellent standards of conduct, where students feel valued and supported, as well as challenged to achieve and exceed their potential. Looking forward, we are excited to be part of the Mossbourne Federation, an incredibly successful academy trust, with a first-class record of achievement within education.

Mossbourne Sixth Form Thurrock strives to take a personalised approach to education, and although the key priority is to achieve excellent academic results, we also want to provide an environment which provides for the 'whole' student - developing their character by enabling social, emotional and moral growth.  Consequently, our students leave the Sixth Form as caring, competent and confident individuals, able to enjoy and contribute fully to the world around them.
